As an esteemed Borough of Manhattan Community College's Department of Science member since 2012, JoAnn has exhibited a remarkable commitment to academic excellence. Her engaging teaching style and depth of knowledge have consistently inspired students to explore and embrace the world of science. Before her tenure at BMCC, JoAnn was an educator at the City University of New York since 2006, where her dedication to nurturing young minds was evident in her innovative teaching methods and mentorship.
Beyond the classroom, JoAnn's passion for cycling has made her a pivotal figure in the cycling community. Her expertise as a Level 3 Licensed Coach at USAC (USA Cycling) has made her a sought-after mentor for cyclists looking to elevate their performance. Her coaching journey took an exciting turn when she assumed the role of Cycling Coach at "I Challenge Myself" for the 2022 season and subsequently at "Trilatino.org" for the 2023 season. In these capacities, JoAnn has demonstrated her unwavering commitment to nurturing aspiring cyclists, imparting technical skills, and fostering confidence and determination through structured training.
JoAnn's influence extends to her role as an Accountability Coach for CIS Training Systems, where she works with Beginner/Novice riders to chart their progress, set achievable goals, and push their boundaries. JoAnn has been an integral member of CIS Training Systems since January 2016, continually contributing her insights and dedication to the team's collective success.
